In 2011, Dan Bank co-founded the boutique commercial law practice, Ross & Bank, in the heart of Toronto’s Entertainment District. After working previously on Bay Street, at Osler Hoskin & Harcourt, and as in-house counsel for a renewable energy company, Dan shifted focus, launching his firm in order to focus primarily with clean-tech, software and development companies. Offering competitive rates and flat fees that reflect the needs of the often-lean startup world, Dan assists clients with a range of day-to-day legal needs, including establishing corporations and shareholder agreements; drafting supplier, subcontractor or consultant agreements; and preparing license, hosting and software development agreements. He also sits on the board of four start-up companies, which he advises on how to operate in a start-up environment.
