FIRST Robotics Canada: Educating and promoting students in science, tech and engineering

Have you heard of FIRST Robotics Canada? If not, here’s your chance: FIRST, or For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology, Robotics runs robotic competitions for elementary, junior and senior high school level students. Their aim is to push and inspire children towards careers in the science, tech and engineering fields. Established in 1992 by founder and inventor Dean Kamen, the organization now extends and reaches to over 250,000 students continent-wide.  There are a series of qualifying rounds across North America designed to ignite and impassion an interest in this industry.
